Meanwhile, Ellen continues working with the FBI to destroy Patty, but she becomes more rash and impatient as she continues to set up her appearan...。「相棒 season22」の最終回オンエア後に配信された「相棒 sideA/sideB」は、杉下右京と亀山薫それぞれの視点から1つの事件を追った物語。“sideX”ではその2年後が舞台となり、前作で元暴力団員が殺害された事件の被疑者だった平井久美、高木宇宙が再会したことから新たな物語が動き出す。なお2人は先ごろテレビ朝日系でスタートした「相棒 season23」第1話にも登場し、バディを組んだ探偵となっていた。。
