新聞報導員劉永泰有個幸福家庭，與妻女感情要好，不過因一次意外，幾乎害死了他們一家。事緣心理學家李天毅教授來港期間，被劉妻發現他強姦少女至死，天毅受審期間畏罪上吊而死。 李妻知道此事後，扮作家傭潛入劉家，負責照顧劉的女兒及打理家務。起初李妻表現甚佳，得到劉家的人信任，劉家的人視李妻為家中一份子，卻不知她其實包藏禍心。 李妻漸漸露出原形，不但教壞劉的女兒，更藉機勾引永泰，想奪去劉家女主人的地位，雖然事敗，但卻令永泰夫妻關係緊張，劉家開始不像過去那麼安樂。 後來永泰夫妻終發現李妻的身份，但已太遲，李妻狂性大發，要殺害劉的妻女，幸得鄰居幫忙，才得以將她收拾，最後墮樓身亡。。In the town of Thiers, summer of 1976, teachers and parents give their children skills, love, and attention.
