阿广和阿明在中国一农村长大，两人非常友好，更一起逃到香港，希望寻找金钱梦。然而到香港之后，他俩才发觉困难重重，又尝尽了人情冷暖，闹出不少笑话。此时，香港有位超级巨星，长相和阿广一模一样，在影片拍摄中途，因为做了一个危险动作而身亡，电影公司便找阿广作巨星的替身，他们因而转运。在阿广代替巨星时，他开始明白财富并不等于快乐，而且财富令他非常空虚。不过，阿明却用尽他的新身份和金钱去享受和花天酒地，于是两位好友产生了很多矛盾。最后，阿明知道阿广要重覆巨星身亡时所拍摄的镜头，阿明立即赶去告知阿广，但已经太迟。幸好阿广大难不死，最后两位好友重拾友谊，而且更知道香港不是久留之地。。《走出国门》讲述的是建工集团的建筑工人远赴非洲、柬埔寨历经生死、情感。勇于拼搏以及艰难而又辉煌的历程。该剧反映建筑工人们在踏出国门后的种种经历，以及在恶劣的环境和巨大的压力下，仍要肩负使命，完成任务的不屈精神。。Disarmingly realistic in its depiction of the realities of frontier life, Heartland is a strong antidote to the cliches of traditional Westerns. This semi-documentary slice of life is based on the diaries of Elmore Randall Stewart about her days on the Wyoming frontier in the early 20th century. It's a strongly feminist statement about a woman raising her small daughter alone and scrapping for a living by working for a shy Scottish rancher. Director Richard Pearce brings an endearing touch to a film that is helped greatly by the dazzling cinematography of Fred Murphy. Conchata Ferrell and Rip Torn star in this small film that substitutes veracity for a high-powered plot. Pearce worked as a cinematographer on Woodstock and other documentaries before making his directorial debut. Winner of the 1980 Berlin Golden Bear at the Berlin Film Festival。
